For more than a decade I've moved between code, product, company-building, and the stubborn work of getting software into people's hands. I care about what technology makes possible, but even more about the judgment and life built around it.

05 · Personal life
The work is only one part of the life.
I live with my family in the countryside, close to horses, cattle, farming, and the kind of practical work that refuses abstraction. That life is a useful counterweight to software.
Philosophy gives me better questions. Music and art keep the work expressive. Being a husband and father keeps ambition in proportion. I'm trying to build companies, products, and a life that belong to the same set of values—not three separate versions of myself.
